In an exhibition entitled "Collaborations for Your Excellence", German companies put their best foot forward at CERN, the European organisation for nuclear research in the Swiss town of Meyrin near Geneva on the 10th and 11th October. A total of 37 exhibitors displayed their innovative product and design portfolios as part of the 13th Industrial Trade Fair "Germany at CERN". Several lectures and evening events completed the programme.
The triennial event was hosted by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). In collaboration with kubix GmbH Berlin, raumHOCH successfully tendered for and was able to implement an event concept that exceeded all expectations set by last year's events, both in design and tonality. In addition to the concept and planning of the exhibition architecture, raumHOCH assumed responsibility for the entire event and exhibitor management from pre-launch communication to catering. With their high-quality exhibition system kxendo, the team at kubix built stand constructions that emphasized openness and professionalism and facilitated discourse for its exhibitors. Berlin artist and designer Florian Markl was responsible for graphic design in collaboration with raumHOCH. Using circular segments, the key visual formally referenced the CERN design mark and its particle accelerator. This was overlapped simultaneously with the event slogan "Germany at CERN - Collaborations for Your Excellence" and accented with circles in black, red and gold. The design concept was used consistently on all event and media elements of pre-launch and communication, including invitation flyers, microsites, exhibitor catalogues and on-site digital presentations.
raumHOCH and kubix created an event environment in which the Federal Ministry for Education and Research and the German companies were able to present themselves as a strong community and a competent partner to CERN.
