What do you like about Berlin?
I was born and grew up here, and I’ve never been away for long, just moved house 12 or 13 times. I’m a true city kid. That’s also got to do with convenience, at the end of the day, you’ve got everything all in the one place. I don’t drive a car, for example, I just travel by bike. Wherever there’s chaos, I feel right at home.

What do you like about your job?
That’s related to the question “why do computers fascinate me so much?”: they don’t make errors. So it’s always clear: if there’s a problem with my software, I’ve done something wrong. That’s an eternal challenge. You simply can’t get sloppy with stable software. My goal is to be completely error-free. And it spurs me on that you don’t get a second chance in the event business. Put it this way: the trade fair begins on Monday at 9am. The thing has to work. That’s all there is to it.
