Why is the energy transition a major challenge for the existing electricity grid?

For the public relations work of the project, which will run until 2020, raumHOCH, together with TAS Emotional Marketing, has designed and realised various communication modules. In 30 individual projects with 47 partners in “Nordrhein-Westfalen”, “Rheinland-Pfalz” and “Saarland”, DESIGNETZ is developing intelligent solutions as a blueprint for the energy transition. DESIGNETZ is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) as part of the funding programme “Schaufenster intelligente Energie – Digitale Agenda für die Energiewende (SINTEG)”. The consortium leader is innogy SE.


A nationwide AR experience

For the so-called „Route der Energie“ (eng.: “Route of Energy”) along the individual projects, steles were designed and installed as landmarks and communication carriers. At the stelae, visitors can download an augmented reality app to explore the highly complex and technology-intensive solutions in a simple and playful way.

In all Stores

The app, which was developed for iOS and Android, can also be used regardless of location with a “marker” derived from the corporate design (website, printout, flyer). In addition to other PR and event modules, TAS and raumHOCH are responsible for the accompanying information flyer and an animated explanatory film produced on the basis of the AR app’s unity application.
