Day 1 to 3D

For the third time, “Gründermotor Meisterklasse” (masterclass) coached start-ups from southern Germany to further develop their ideas and business models. The grand finale of the several-month collaboration with a mentoring circle is the Demo Day. Here, start-up teams pitch their ideas to attract investors and find partners. Due to Covid 19, this year’s Demo Day was to take place digitally – and that’s when raumHOCH jumped in. Together with vorm, we created a digital event space that not only managed to transport the innovative start-up atmosphere via the screen but also enabled personal exchange between the 300 participants, founders, mentors and potential investors.

The stage for the event is the digitally recreated headquarters of the host Vector Informatik. Guests can move freely through the 3D world, the start-up engine YOUSPACE, via mouse control and discover interaction possibilities in all directions. After the broadcast of a live show with exciting key note speakers and the pitches of the start-ups, the guests can make themselves comfortable in the foyer and look around (there was also an Easter Egg to discover at a high altitude) or enter one of the other virtual rooms. For example, the pitch teams are ready in individual exhibition rooms to give detailed insights into their presentations or to network with each other via chat, audio or video call. Those who would like to exchange ideas with the other guests will find the opportunity to do so at the Beer Bar or in specially designed theme rooms. Problems or questions? Hosts will be on hand at the info counter throughout the event to help guests. Entries for the #gründermotor will be displayed live on a social media wall and, of course, a virtual guestbook will be available for leaving greetings or feedback.

Universal access

The event is easily accessible to guests via browser without installing additional software. After a short registration, it is accessible to everyone from their sofa or workplace at home. By integrating the content in an impressive 3D world that can be interactively explored by the guest, the event becomes an experience that is more than a situational compromise.
